Learners who have paid for Immigration New Zealand’s pre-purchased ESOL tuition as a part of their residency requirements.
Entry Requirement
Applicants may be interviewed to assess their suitability for the programme. EMS sometimes conducts a placement test during the enrolment process.
Enrolment documents
The programme is dedicated to migrants and refugees. We accept the following original documents:

Passport and New Zealand Permanent Resident visa; and,

Immigration New Zealand pre-purchased ESOL tuition confirmation letter.
Programme Aim
The PELT programme enables migrants to participate in English language courses, helping them settle into communities and work.
EMS has been a long-standing TEC approved PELT funding provider. Once you enrol, we assist to transfer your “Pre-purchased English-Language Tuition” from TEC to EMS to fund your ESOL course. See the detailed information about this on TEC’s website:

Programme Structure
The PELT programme follows our General English programme structure.
2018 class schedule
Classes start every Monday of the year except during the two-week Christmas holiday period. Each learner is expected to complete 100 learning hours.
